Jurgen Klopp has been critical of Chelsea’s spending in January after the Blues splashed out as many as 350 million euros to sign eight players in the winter transfer window.
The Liverpool coach was asked to comment on the matter in his press conference prior Liverpool‘s game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
“I say nothing without my lawyer,” Klopp joked on Friday.
“I don’t understand this part of the business but it’s a big number. They are all really good players so congratulations.
“I don’t understand how it’s possible, but it’s not for me to explain how it works.”
Liverpool‘s only January singing was Cody Gakpo, who joined from PSV Eindhoven in exchange for 50 million euros in Klopp‘s bid to strengthen his team’s attack.
The Reds have been struggling in the Premier League this season, currently sitting ninth in the table with 29 points from 19 games.
