Both of Notre Dame’s NBA representatives played four games over the past week. That gave them plenty of opportunities to show what they could do. It didn’t matter that one was on an NBA title contender and the other is a potential suitor for Victor Wembanyama. You got to see them play a bunch, and that’s all that mattered.
Blake Wesley’s first game of the week was his best. While his San Antonio Spurs broke a 16-game losing streak Feb. 28 against the Utah Jazz, he had an impressive line of nine points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists. For the week, he averaged 6.5 points and 3.3 rebounds a game.
Meanwhile, Pat Connaughton’s Milwaukee Bucks ascended to the best record in the NBA. His week included 10 points and six rebounds March 1 against the Orlando Magic and eight points and seven boards March 5 at the Washington Wizards. His week saw him average 6.0 points and 4.8 rebounds a game.
