Welp, that was quick.
Six hours after being assigned to the G League’s OKC Blue, the Oklahoma City Thunder recalled third-year-forward Aleksej Pokusevski. The assignment was likely to allow Pokusevski to practice with the Blue.
This is a positive step in Pokusevski’s return. He has been out since Dec. 28 with a non-displaced tibial plateau fracture in his left leg.
Pokusevski is still a ways away from returning to the Thunder and with 18 games and roughly a month left in the regular season, it’ll be an interesting storyline to follow if he can return.
In 31 games, Pokusevski is averaging 8.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, two assists and 1.3 blocks.
