Oregon alum Wyndham Clark has been selected as one of four men’s golfers to represent Team USA in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee announced the group Tuesday.
Clark, the world’s fifth-ranked golfer according to the World Golf Ranking system, will be joined by Scottie Scheffler (No. 1 WGR), Xander Schauffele (No. 3) and Collin Morikawa (No. 7). Selection of the team was decided by the WGR.
Clark has found recent success in his pro career after graduating from Oregon in 2017, winning the 2023 U.S. Open and finishing third in the 2023 PGA Tour. He won the Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February and has logged back-to-back runner-up finishes at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship in March.
Clark is the first Oregon men’s golf alum to be named to an Olympic team. The U.S. team has won 13 Olympic golf medals while no other nation has earned more than three.
Men’s golf will begin Aug. 1 and run through Aug. 4 during the Paris Games. All competition will be held at Le Golf National in Guyancourt, France.
