A pair of standouts from Greater Lansing have made the Michigan Interscholastic Golf Coaches Association’s all-state teams.
Okemos junior Ian Masih was a first team selection in Division 1 and DeWitt senior Luke Hanselman was recognized as honorable mention all-state in Division 2.
Masih capped his junior season by finishing seventh individually at the Division 1 state finals. His round of 69 on the second day of the state finals was tied for the low score of the round.
Masih also had five medalist finishes, which included at the CAAC Open and the CAAC Championships, and had four runner-up finishes. He had an average of 74.6 in 18-hole events.
Hanselman had a 9-hole average of 35.0 and an 18-hole mark of 75.1 this spring for the Panthers. He was the champion at the Holt Invitational and East Lansing Invitational.
Hanselman was the top area placer at the Division 2 state finals and ended tied for 15th. He helped the Panthers place 12th as a team.
