LEBANON – The Ally 400 NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday at Nashville Superspeedway is under a weather delay.
The race was halted after 137 laps initially for a lightning hold after a lightning strike was indicated within eight miles of the track. A storm cell is incoming toward the track from the northeast.
it’s been sunny with hot temperatures and a high heat index throughout the race weekend at the track just south of Gladeville. But clear skies during Sunday morning and the early afternoon gave way to scattered storms.
This is the fourth edition of the Ally 400, as the NASCAR Cup Series returned to the Nashville area in 2021. This will be the second of those four races impacted by weather; Chase Elliott won at the track in 2022 in a race that began in the afternoon but ended under the lights.
