Get ready for weekend NHL games on TNT. The network is bringing two games to the afternoon slate that feature elite Eastern Conference opponents.
Up first on the schedule is an Original Six matchup between the Bruins and the Red Wings. Boston has not only been the best team in hockey this year, but they are also performing at a record-setting level. The team has already set a new NHL mark for the quickest team to 100 points and 50 wins.
On the other side, the Red Wings are slipping in the standings. While a playoff push is still in play, Detroit’s subtractions at the deadline, including new Bruins forward Tyler Bertuzzi, have made it an uphill battle.
