UAB has received a commitment from Middletown (Ohio) Lakota East quarterback Jamison Kitna, who is an important piece of this 2025 class for the Blazers. He is a strong 6-foot-2, 220-pound quarterback with arm talent and NFL bloodlines.
He took an official visit with the Blazers in early June and has gotten to know coach Trent Dilfer and his staff well.
That led to him choosing UAB over 21 other offers.
“Trent and the staff he’s built is the best development I’ll get when trying to get to the pro level,” Kitna said.
Kitna played in Burleson (Texas) to start his high school career. He came to Lakota East for his junior season and competed 139 of 229 passes for 1,489 yards and nine touchdowns. He rushed for 227 yards and six touchdowns.
A dislocated ankle ended his season but he rehabbed back in time for spring camps and combines, some of which he was a 247Sports top performer at.
A three-star prospect, Kitna becomes the highest-ranked player in the Blazer class.
His father Jon Kitna played 16 seasons in the NFL, spent one year as the Dallas Cowboys’ quarterbacks coach and is now the coach at Lakota East.
