– Before the game, Carlos Mendoza acknowledged Francisco Alvarez‘s struggles at the plate and if health is a reason behind the issues.
– An injury that the Mets appear to be out of the woods on is with Paul Blackburn, whose imaging returned clean. Blackburn and Mendoza explained, including a potential return for the right-hander.
