Tuttosport newspaper reports that Real Madrid have been following Samuele Ricci for the last three years, and the Merengues could make an offer to sign the Italian talent at the end of the season.
Real Madrid are interested in Torino and Italy talent Ricci and the La Liga giants could make an offer in the summer of 2025.
According to Tuttosport, the Merengues have followed Ricci since September 2021, when he played for Empoli. Madrid scouts reportedly started monitoring the central midfielder following advice from Carlo Ancelotti.
According to the report, Madrid constantly followed Ricci’s development and the ‘final promotion’ came on September 6 after Ricci’s impressive international display against France in the Nations League.
Tuttosport claims that Ricci is now one of the Real Madrid targets for the central midfield role in 2025, but Manchester City are also interested in the 23-year-old.
The Turin-based paper claims that the Premier League giants are planning to sign the Italian in the January transfer window even if the Granata are unwilling to sell him so early, especially after parting ways with Alessandro Buongiorno and Raoul Bellanova last summer.
“I won’t comment on Manchester City,” Torino director Davide Vagnati said before the international break.
“What I can say is that we signed Ricci when he was very young and it was an important investment, we and the President believed in him and spent big money for this player. He believed in his work, has improved a great deal physically, he already had the vision, and I think he is capable of playing for any coach or club.”
