Matvei Michkov had another great game for the Flyers against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday (Oct. 23), as he had a goal and an assist. His goal was a beauty, too, as he sniped a snapshot top shelf past Capitals goalie Logan Thompson.

With his big night, Michkov joined some elite company. According to NHL Public Relations, the 2023 seventh-overall pick became the fourth teenage Flyers rookie to record at least seven points in his first seven NHL games. The only other three Flyers who accomplished this were Eric Lindros (1992-93), Peter Zezel (1984-85), and Rich Sutter (1983-84).
This cool stat effectively demonstrates just how marvelously Michkov has been performing early on. While the Flyers have had a poor start to the season, he is still dominating, which is very exciting to see.
Seeing how Michkov builds off his incredible start will be fun. He is not showing any signs of slowing down.
