Luis Súarez has wasted no time opening his and Miami’s MLS Cup Playoff account, scoring the opener against Atlanta United inside two minutes Friday evening.
There was plenty of hype to see this iteration of Inter Miami make their start in the MLS Cup Playoffs after a record-setting Supporters Shield campaign in the regular season,
And after scoring 20 goals before the playoffs kicked off, Súarez was lightning-quick to find the back of the net, and in the process he scored Inter Miami’s first ever MLS Cup Playoff goal.
Atlanta have given Lionel Messi and his Miami mates plenty of trouble in the last 18 months, but the first few minutes in south Florid Friday evening have shown us that the Five Stripes could be in for a long evening, and a long series.
