One of Liverpool’s recent acquisitions is already preparing to leave the club as early as the January transfer window.
It was a quiet summer in terms of the incomings at Anfield, as after all the talk of wanting to sign further quality in midfield and depth in defence, neither of these areas were suitably addressed.

Nor was the other key area of attention, the expiring contract situation around Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, which is still unresolved at the moment.
Liverpool were able to agree to bring in Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia on the basis that he remained in Spain on loan this season, as well as one notable other who may well be headed for the exit door after less than six months at Anfield.
