Two New York playmakers, Mike Williams and Darius Slayton of the Jets and Giants, are reportedly among five wide receivers who have “garnered interest on some level in the trade market” before Tuesday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline.
Adam Thielen (Carolina Panthers), K.J. Osborn and Tyquan Thornton (New England Patriots) are the three others mentioned in NFL Network’s report Saturday evening.
“Williams has been in trade discussions since the Jets acquired (Davante) Adams on Oct. 15, and it remains up in the air whether the Jets would deal the big-bodied wideout,” wrote Ian Rapoport.
“Slayton is another interesting one … he’s also someone the Giants could decide to keep and pay next year,” Rapoport added.
Williams, 30, has 12 receptions on 21 targets for 166 yards (13.8 average) in nine games (three starts).
The 27-year-old Slayton, meanwhile, enters Sunday’s Week 9 game against the Washington Commanders with 29 receptions on 47 targets for 420 yards (14.5 average) and one touchdown in eight games (six starts).
