Ryan Blaney earned a walk-off win in Sunday’s Martinsville NASCAR race.
Blaney, the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series champion, will race for a championship after advancing to the Championship 4 for next weekend at Phoenix Raceway. Blaney led 31 laps to win the Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway.
The driver of the No. 12 Team Penske Ford made a move on Chase Elliott with 13 laps to go and drove away to the checkered flag.
Christopher Bell made a move in turn 4 to pass Bubba Wallace, similar to the move Ross Chastain made in 2022. He was eliminated from the playoffs after a penalty for a safety violation for what was called a wall ride. William Byron earned the final playoff spot after Bell’s penalty.
Bell was moved from 18th to 22nd, the last car one lap down and officially out of the playoffs.
