Major champions Zach Johnson, Brian Harman, Lucas Glover lead the 15th RSM Classic field

Major champions Zach Johnson, Gary Woodland, Francesco Molinari, Brian Harman and tournament host Davis Love III are in the field for the 15th RSM Classic, which begins on Nov. 21 at the Sea Island Club on St. Simons Island, Ga.

A field of 156 players will compete on Sea Island’s Seaside and Plantation Course in the final event of the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Fall. The purse is $7.6 million, with $1.368 and 500 FedEx Cup points for the winner.

Ludvig Aberg is the defending champion. He won with a record score of 29-under 253 last year, with a 61-61 finish on the weekend.

In addition to the major winners, past Players Championship winners in the field are Love, Matt Kuchar and Si Woo Kim. There are 30 players who have won multiple PGA Tour titles.

Also in the field are past RSM champions Chris Kirk, Robert Streb, Mackenzie Hughes, Austin Cook, Kevin Kisner, Tyler Duncan and Adam Svensson. The six winners of FedEx Cup Fall events prior to this week’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship, Patton Kizzire, Kevin Yu, Matt McCarty, J.T. Poston, Nico Echavarria and Austin Eckroat, also are in the RSM field.

Players with First Coast ties in the field include former Jacksonville University players Russell Knox and Raul Pereda, former UNF player Philip Knowles, and Tyson Alexander, Bud Cauley, Lanto Griffin, Sam Ryder and Tim Wilkinson.
