The Vegas Golden Knights are looking to avenge their loss against Logan Thompson and Washington Capitals tonight at home.

In their first matchup, Thompson turned away 24 of the 26 shots the Golden Knights threw his way en route to a 4-2 Capitals win. The matchup on Oct. 5, was the last time Victor Olofsson played a game before he suffered a lower-body injury.

The Golden Knights enter tonight’s game without Nicolas Hague and possibly Mark Stone, who is still sidelined with a lower-body injury. The Golden Knights captain has been injured since one of the final shifts of the game against the Edmonton Oilers back on Nov. 6.
The Golden Knights and Capitals have near identical records, just an extra overtime loss from the Golden Knights separates the two teams. The Golden Knights are 8-1-0 at home and the Capitals are 4-2-0 on the road. The two teams are also the highest-scoring teams in the NHL, the Capitals are scoring 4.19 goals per game and the Golden Knights are scoring 4.12.
