Akin to Netflix, Fortnite also has a monthly subscription service. It’s an optional purchase that you can make for multiple recurring benefits. Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite Crew and whether its benefits are worth the price.
What’s included in Fortnite Crew?
For the monthly price of $11.99, you get access to a lot of goodies in Fortnite. And while the rewards may vary depending on what’s available in the game, there are a lot of rewards for any type of Fortnite player.
Here’s everything included in Fortnite Crew:
- All currently available Fortnite passes (including Music Pass, LEGO Pass, and more)
- Monthly Crew pack skin bundle
- Monthly 1,000 V-Bucks
- Styles for older Crew pack skins
The Fortnite premium passes are available only while the subscription is active. This means that if you decide to cancel your subscription, you won’t be able to claim new premium rewards from any of the passes (you’ll keep everything you already claimed, though).
Another core part of Fortnite Crew is the Crew pack skin bundle. It’s a set of exclusive monthly cosmetics that won’t be available in any other way. Each set usually includes a skin (now with a LEGO variant) and at least one matching accessory, like a pickaxe, back bling, or lobby music. Consecutive purchases of Fortnite Crew will grant you additional styles to eligible older Crew pack skins.
The subscription also includes the Rocket Pass for Rocket League players. It’s probably the least attractive item on the list, but it’s there anyway.
Is Fortnite Crew worth it?
The Fortnite Crew subscription is a great deal, especially if you plan on grinding out this season. All the passes and V-Bucks alone already make it a value deal, and considering you also get skins, Fortnite Crew might be the best purchase in the game.
However, you might want to time your purchase right to make the most out of your money. Previously, you could buy the subscription at the start of the season and then cancel it, keeping the battle pass. You can’t do that anymore, so I recommend buying it closer to the end of the season.
This way, you can level throughout the season and claim all the rewards from the battle pass by only buying one month of Fortnite Crew. The exceptions here are the other passes (like LEGO, Music, or any other limited-time passes). Those usually have different end dates, so make sure to check them and get Fortnite Crew before they expire to claim all the rewards.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you can get two Crew pack bundles for just one month of Fortnite Crew. The new Crew pack arrives at the beginning of every month, so if you joined Fortnite Crew in the middle of March, you’ll get skins from both March and April Crew packs. No monthly V-Bucks included, though.
