Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby keeps on climbing all-time franchise ranks, and he did so again on Monday against the Philadelphia Flyers.
On his third assist of the night in a Monday tilt against the Flyers on a first-period power play goal by Philip Tomasino, Crosby recorded his 1,033rd career assist, which ties him with Mario Lemieux for the most assists by a player in Penguins’ history.
In terms of the NHL all-time assists list, Crosby needs just eight more to surpass Marcel Dionne and move into the top-11. He needs 17 more to surpass Mr. Hockey, Gordie Howe, to break the top-10 all-time.
Crosby is now up to nine goals and 38 points in 36 games on the season.
