Rey Mysterio has been one of the most popular stars in the entire wrestling industry over the years. The Hall of Famer is known for maintaining his character every time he comes out to the squared circle. The legendary luchador is also known for the massive contribution he has made to lucha libre.
Lately, Mysterio has not been engaged in an eye-catching feud. With WWE RAW switching to a two-hour format a couple of months ago, a lot of stars had to be kept backstage to give time to the bigger feuds. However, the legend has still made his presence felt as the locker room leader was instrumental in kicking out the New Day from the WWE locker room.
Recently, Aalyah Mysterio shared a picture of the Christmas celebration with her family. She made unique gifts for her family with her welos clothes and shared a heartwarming message on Instagram.
In the picture, Rey Mysterio was spotted unmasked, which has caught a lot of attention lately.
“I gifted my family little bears made out of my welos clothes + a picture of them with my welo wearing the shirt the bear is made out of. I was so excited to give them this gift and I had to show it off. I love you guys,” wrote Aalyah Mysterio.
What’s next for Rey Mysterio?
The Master of 619 was last seen confronting The New Day following their massive heel turn a few weeks ago on RAW. He stated that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods had crossed a line when they kicked out Big E from the group and turned heel. The star stated that the rest of the locker room was not comfortable sharing the same space with the multi-time tag team champions.
On the latest episode of RAW, Mysterio asked The New Day to apologize but was on the receiving end of some snide remarks from. Woods and Kingston.
With the legendary tag team not having a very big feud lately, a story with Mysterio and the LWO is quite a possibility.
Given the popularity Mysterio has, a story with the Hall of Famer would help the former tag team champions elevate their heel characters. This could be the rivalry that could eventually make the WWE Universe hate The New Day even more, eventually leading to a tag team title run.
Further, WWE could also move Rey Mysterio to SmackDown, solidifying the United States Title scene with some massive names already included. Time will tell what WWE has in store for Rey next.
