WWE has managed to evolve into a global phenomenon over the years, and millions of people around the world watch the product. Multiple superstars have jumped ship to Hollywood after making a name for themselves in the Stamford-based promotion.
They are now widely recognized as some of the most famous people on the planet. The Rock and John Cena are prime examples of this. Numerous stars from the newer generation are seemingly eager to follow in the footsteps of Cena and The Rock. Recently, a SmackDown star said he was open to working with Sydney Sweeney.
Former WWE United States Champion LA Knight has been riding a massive wave of success for a long time. He recently lost his US title to Shinsuke Nakamura and is currently engaged in a rivalry with him to regain his lost championship on the blue brand.
Recently, while having a fun conversation with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, LA Knight was asked about doing a crossover on Netflix and was asked to name a potential co-star he would like to work with. Knight noted that, although he is not interested in acting for now and wants to pursue wrestling, he wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to work with Sydney Sweeney.
“Sydney Sweeney [laughs]. For me, acting is not an end all, be all. But if the opportunity presents itself, I won’t say no,” LA Knight said. [H/T: Fightful]
The WWE SmackDown Superstar might get into a heated feud with The Bloodline
LA Knight has been one of the top babyface superstars on WWE Friday Night SmackDown for a long time. The latest edition of SmackDown saw a subtle hint being dropped by the Stamford-based promotion that might lead to a storyline between The Megastar and The Bloodline.
In a backstage segment, Nick Aldis and officials were having a tough time dealing with a rebellious Jacob Fatu.
Knight rushed in, pushed Fatu outside the backstage area, and locked the door before entering his title match. The Samoan Werewolf might take revenge on The Megastar in the coming weeks for being disrespectful toward him, and this might mark the beginning of a new feud on the blue brand.
That said, the proposed angle is just speculation at this point, and it remains to be seen what plans Triple H-led creatives have in store for Knight in the coming months.
