Rhea Ripley reclaimed the title she never lost and dominated Liv Morgan on the RAW premiere on Netflix on January 6. She beat Morgan to become the new Women’s World Champion.
The Eradicator will show up on the red brand this week to celebrate her victory. We take a look at three things she could do on RAW after becoming the Women’s World Champion.
#3. She could address the end of her rivalry with Liv Morgan
The rivalry between the two megastars lasted nine months. It started on the RAW after WrestleMania in April and ended on the RAW premiere on Netflix.
During that time, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan fought three times and confronted each other multiple times on RAW. Thus, Rhea could show up on the red brand and address her feud with Liv, reflecting on what happened over the past nine months.
However, WWE Creative could give Morgan another title opportunity. Liv could interrupt Ripley’s segment and challenge her to a rematch at the Royal Rumble on February 1.
#2. She could issue an open challenge on RAW
With RAW moving to Netflix, WWE Creative could regularly have the major titles on the line. With her feud with Liv Morgan now over, Rhea Ripley is ready for her next storyline, and she could put her title on the line by issuing an open challenge.
Who will answer it is unclear, but female stars, like IYO SKY, Raquel Rodriguez, and even the Women’s Tag Team Champion Bianca Belair, could step up and have a title match against The Eradicator.
Ripley has unfinished business with Belair and Rodriguez and has already teased a feud with the former leader of Damage CTRL.
#1. Becky Lynch could return and re-ignite her rivalry with Rhea Ripley
Becky Lynch last appeared on RAW on May 27, when she lost to Liv Morgan and missed the opportunity to reclaim the Women’s World Championship.
As her contract expired, she stepped away from the business for nearly seven months, but it appears that she has now re-signed and is ready to come back. The Man was expected to show up on the RAW premiere on Netflix, but WWE Creative kept her out and didn’t have her interfere in the title match between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley.
This week, though, the former Women’s World Champion should be back to the red brand. The expectation is that she will re-enter the title picture and come after Rhea Ripley, re-igniting her feud with the new Women’s World Champion.
Becky and Rhea headlined the Road to WrestleMania last year, with Lynch earning her ticket to ‘Mania and getting a title match against Ripley at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
The Eradicator stood tall and retained her title before starting her rivalry with Liv Morgan the next night. Now, Becky Lynch could interrupt Rhea Ripley’s promo and confront her, re-igniting their rivalry and opening the way for a title match at the Royal Rumble on February 1.
