The PGA Tour announced on Thursday that the Genesis Invitational scheduled for Feb. 13-16 at the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles will be moved to an as-yet determined location because of the L.A. wildfires.
Riviera is located in the Pacific Palisades area, which has been experienced most of the devastation of the fires that began on Jan. 6. Although the golf course itself has emerged undamaged, infrastructure such as power, water and public transportation has been interrupted and emergency services such as police, fire and EMTs are already stretched thin.
