Former Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli is now set to sign a contract with Serie A side Como, following a successful training stint with the club.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported today that the Englishman has passed the probationary period and he has convinced Cesc Fabregas.
The first positive step came when he left with the team for the Spanish retreat in Marbella which was scheduled from 4 to 8 January to coincide with the forced break given the postponement of the match against Milan. A photo posted on Instagram by Alberto Moreno portrayed a smiling Alli in Marbella with the winning team of one of the post-training games. The outlet believe that this was a strong indication that things were going well.
He will now sign a contract till the summer of 2026 and there will be an option to renew for another season. Raphael Varane has played a key role in the move and the feeling at Como is that the midfielder’s experience will help a lot of younger players in the squad.
