Delta Force has a few distinct modes with individual progression tracks and even events. There’s a lot to do for any kind of player, whether you’re looking for all-out warfare or want to try out Delta Force’s take on the extraction mode.
Here’s every game mode in Delta Force and what you can expect from it.
Every game mode in Delta Force
Warfare
Warfare is a Battlefield-style mode focused solely on infantry and vehicle combat with a few features seemingly inspired by Call of Duty games. Much like in Battlefield, you can pick your operator tied to a specific class, select a loadout, and jump into the game with a squad of teammates. As you play the mode, you’ll unlock more weapons and attachments.
Throughout the match, you must eliminate opponents and attack or defend objectives. Doing so also grants you points that you can spend on call-ins, like Guided Missile or Tactical Beacon, which are basically a form of scorestreaks in Delta Force.
There are a few game modes within Warfare that you can try out. Some of these modes are on a rotation or are limited time, so we have lists of currently active game modes and a list of those that are out of rotation.
Active modes
- Attack and Defend: Attackers must capture two objectives in the sector to advance to the next one, while the defenders must stop them at all costs. The attackers also have limited reinforcements, while the defenders have unlimited.
- King of the Hill: Two teams fight over sectors with objectives. Capturing all objectives within a sector grants strategic resources and whichever team reaches the target amount wins.
- Knife Edge Only: Attack and Defend only on the Knife Edge map.
- Battle Practice: PvE version of the Attack and Defend mode. This mode doesn’t award EXP.
Inactive modes (out of rotation)
- Attack and Defend – Shafted: Attack and Defend only on the Shafted map.
- Attack and Defend – Threshold: Attack and Defend only on the Threshold map.
- Attack and Defend – Trench Lines: Attack and Defend only on the Trench Lines map.
- Hill of Iron: King of the Hill with more tanks and other heavy vehicles.
- King of the Hill – Shafted: King of the Hill only on the Shafted map.
- Blitz: Quick King of the Hill mode with fewer objectives and random base respawns.
- Siege: Multiple objectives in a single sector on a smaller map, emulating the last stage of traditional Attack and Defend mode.
- Top Voted: A mode voted by the community. The mode and map session change every two days.
Operations
Operations is a mix of modes. What started as an extraction mode, similar to Escape from Tarkov, has grown to have a variety of modes for all types of players. The gameplay in Operations is more tactical compared to Warfare, with longer ability cooldowns, injuries, and more.
There are three main modes in Operations:
- Hazard Operation: Hazard Operations is an extraction mode. Explore the map, collect loot, complete side objectives, or hunt other players. To keep your loot, you must extract using a specific extraction point. You can then use your loot in future Hazard Operations and Raids, sell it for Tekniq Alloys, or upgrade and craft new things at your base of operations. If you die, you lose everything you had except for what was in the Safe Box. Don’t worry, though; you get Gear Tickets when you die, which set you up with the base gear for the next run.
- Raid: Raids are PvE missions. Use the gear from your stash to go through multiple stages of a mission filled with AI enemies and complete objectives. Unlike Hazard Operations, you don’t lose your gear if you die in Raids.
- Hot Zone: Hot Zone is a 3v3v3 PvP game mode on small maps. Eliminate all other players or secure the MandelCell to win a round. The first team to win three rounds wins the game. In this mode, you use the preset gear instead of items from your stash.
Black Hawk Down
Black Hawk Down is an upcoming multiplayer campaign in Delta Force. The campaign reimagines the 2001 movie and the classic Delta Force series campaign. The mode isn’t available yet but is scheduled to be released during Season Starfall, closer to the game’s console release.
