The NASCAR Cup Series returns to road course racing this weekend, with qualifying on Saturday to set the field for the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at COTA.
The Cup full-time field has rarely been stronger on road courses than in 2025, with AJ Allmendinger and Shane van Gisbergen moving up from Xfinity. Several Cup veterans have also grown into very good road racers by practice; Tyler Reddick, Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, Alex Bowman, Chris Buescher, William Byron, Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain have all won at road courses.
18-year-old Connor Zilisch, who won in his first Xfinity Series start last season at Watkins Glen, will make his Cup Series debut on Sunday.
