In scenes you once might not have expected to see, Sir Alex Ferguson has appeared in a hilarious video alongside two Hollywood stars.
The reason, of course, is Manchester United’s summer friendly against Wrexham AFC, co-owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
The Red Devils will face the Red Dragons in San Diego, California, on July 25.
Videocall gone wrong
To promote the game between one of the biggest clubs in the world and the third oldest team in the world, the Welsh side’s famous owners starred in a short video which also features legendary Scottish manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
In the clip, the Hollywood actors can be seen nervously anticipating a videocall with Ferguson. Once on their laptop screen, however, the Scot says absolutely nothing.
Reynolds and McElhenney become even more nervous before panicking and ending the call in the face of Ferguson’s silence.
The pair are convinced that the United legend was playing mind games with them.

Then the scene cuts to Ferguson‘s office where an assistant asks him how the call went.
‘They were on mute, never heard a thing,’ replies Ferguson.
