Unseeded Polish tennis player Magda Linette comes into the semi final match up against fifth seed Aryna Sabalenka with a full head of steam.
Set for a battle at Rod Laver Arena, the pair of women will follow the Elena Rybakina and Victoria Azarenka clash which begins at 7:30pm AEDT.
Both players come into this semi final with plenty of confidence.
Linette’s run to the final four consisted of downing four seeded players including Frenchwoman and fourth seed Caroline Garcia in straight sets.
The Pole has dropped one set thus far and is primed to give herself the best chance of winning her maiden Grand Slam at age 30.
However, the Belarusian on the other side of the net will be no slouch hoping to also claim her first major title.
Sabalenka has made the semi final at all slams except the French Open over the past two years and would feel ready to make the next step.
The 24-year-old’s lead-up to the final four has been nothing short of impressive, failing to drop a set in the five matches up to this point.
