Not for the first time, a footballer has suffered a burglary while away playing the sport and Justin Kluivert is the latest victim.
With the Valencia forward having travelled to Mallorca for his team’s Thursday night game against Real Mallorca, some hooded robbers raided his house on the outskirts of Valencia.
The assailants even hit his partner, before making off with a haul worth around 200,000 euros in jewellery and watches.
A second person was also reportedly assaulted in the home during the assault, sources from the local police confirmed to EFE.
According to Valencia Plaza, the robbery took place just as Kluivert‘s partner was returning from walking the irdog in the evening and the assailants beat her to get her to tell them where the valuables were.
It is believed that the entire incident lasted no more than five minutes, before they quickly fled.
Patrick Kluivert is staying in Mallorca
The player’s partner is doing well, having suffered a scare but only minor injuries.
The club has informed MARCA that the player will stay in Mallorca to play in the important match for the team.
This isn’t even the first time this season that a Valencia player has been robbed at home, as Samu Castillejo has suffered this as well.
