When Jayson Tatum took his visit to Duke, he knew right away that was the school for him. But the future Boston Celtics superstar recently recalled how coach Mike Krzyzewski reacted when the St. Louis native finally got up the courage to tell the leader of the Blue Devils that he had elected to take Duke up on their scholarship offer.
In an appearance on the “In Depth with Graham Bensinger” show, Tatum opened up about that fateful day in his basketball career that would one day lead to him being drafted by the Celtics in 2017 with the team’s third overall pick — traded back from the top pick, at that.
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear for yourself what he had to say to the eponymous host of the show.
