It feels like we talk about it every year.
But the key for the Los Angeles Dodgers going into October lies within their starting rotation.
Nearly every major contributor of the Dodger rotation has been on the IL at least once this season including Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, Clayton Kershaw, Gavin Stone Walker Bueller and Bobby Miller, Stone Kershaw and Glasnow are all still currently on the il assuming the Dodgers lock up the NL West, they have about three weeks to get things sorted out before the start of the NL DS, which would also allow them to get some starting pitchers healthy before the start of the postseason.
The Dodgers did get a big question answered this week with the return of Yoshinobu Yamamoto who look sharp in his first start since June topping out at 98 miles an hour.
If Yamamoto is healthy, that would be a huge boost for the Dodgers rotation going into October.
No team wants to be praying for good health two weeks before the postseason.
But that’s the situation the Dodgers find themselves in.
We know what their offense can do, but if they can manage to keep three of their starters healthy over the next month, it would be a huge boost for them to get back to the World Series for the first time since 2020.
