What’s up y’all?
Welcome back to the playlist.
It’s week 18, fantasy basketball.
Tons to cover.
We’re getting to the final few weeks of the season, so wanna run through some key injuries that are going to certainly impact fantasy, but then also give you some pickups and schedule recommendations to Prepare for the week ahead.
So, first things first, gotta pour one out for my man, former MVP Joel and Bead.
He’s gonna be missing the rest of the season with a knee injury.
And then also the Orlando Magic are gonna be without Jalen Suggs for the rest of the season, as he’s also dealing with a knee injury.
And on the short term, Nikolavusovich looks like he’s going to be eyeing a return to the lineup later this week.
He’s not quite ready yet, but Demonis Abonis is another guy that’s gonna be shelved for at least 1 week, so make sure Jonas Valunis is not available on waivers.
He’s probably the most important ad out of any person on waivers this week, but I’m gonna talk about a few other guys that I really like heading into week 18.
Let’s get to the pickups.
You gotta add Ty Jerome.
He finished 30th in per game value in 9 cat leagues last week, but he’s been pretty much a top 100 player over the course of the year.
He’s the top reserve for the best team in basketball.
So whether he’s starting or coming off the bench, he’s been very effective in fantasy.
His efficiency, his 3 point shooting, his steals have all been elevating his game.
He needs to be rostered in all leagues, as well as Quentin Grimes, who’s coming off a 44 point career high against the.
Warriors in his last game.
But since joining the Sixers, he’s averaged 17 points with 5 boards and 3 assists and a steal per game.
Hey, if the Sixers decide to tank or they decide to go in for the playing tournament, Quentin Grimes is gonna play a critical role down the stretch, so make sure he’s not available.
And also, Kyle Philipowski is gonna be crucial down the stretch for the Utah Jazz because, well, they’re already resting, it’s silly season and Kyle Philipowski has gotten 3 double-doubles.
in his last 4 games.
He’s going to be a really good asset down the stretch in silly season.
We don’t know when the Utah Jazz are gonna arrest people.
He’s gonna benefit when they do.
He also sneaky assists, so make sure you add him in all leagues.
And last one, Quentin Post.
The Warriors have 4 games this week.
He’s been the stretch big that the Warriors desperately needed.
He’s hitting 3s, he’s scoring and getting rebounds, so make sure you add him in the deeper leagues.
All right.
Let’s get to the schedule things you need to know.
All right, y’all, week 18, we are really getting down to the wire, so make sure you check your settings.
If you’re playing in a private league, make sure you know when your trade deadline and when your playoffs start.
I know some playoffs are already beginning, um, but if you’re playing in a Yahoo Standard League, default Standard league, your trade deadline will end on Thursday, March 6th.
That’s this Thursday.
So make sure you put in the time to Sell off the assets that you don’t want, acquire the ones that you do, um, and strategize to really make this playoff push here.
So I will come out with an article tomorrow highlighting 3 to 5 buys that I really like and sells, um, as well as we’re approaching this trade deadline, but you gotta remember we only got 2 weeks left in the season.
The playoffs start in week 20, so this is absolutely grind time.
So for week 18 in terms of streaming.
It’s actually a really good week.
You know, there’s no double digit slates at all this week, and if you really want to target a lighter slate day, you could look at Monday and Saturday because they are the lightest slates this week, but it’s pretty evenly distributed, the games this week, so you should be able to stream most of the days, but my strategy this week is really to hone in on the teams that play 3 games in 4 nights to start the week.
There’s 4 of those teams.
It’s the Warriors, the Sixers, the Rockets, and the Hawks.
So Zachary Rishache, Terrence Mann, Carris Levert, Moses Moody, Quentin Post, Jabuelli, and Andre Drummond, those are all the guys that I will be looking to target because one transaction can get me multiple games and then that sets me up really well from a volume perspective.
As I’m looking towards the back end of the week, targeting some of those back to backs or maybe some favorable matchups against like the Jazz, Washington Wizards, the San Antonio Spurs, you know, those fantasy friendly teams.
Don’t really have much else, but I just want to thank everyone for tuning into the playlist every week to get your fantasy advice.
Um, very humble to be able to give you guys the advice to be able to do this, and hopefully, This advice will get you to the championship.
I know there’s a couple of steps that we got to get through before we get to that point, but I just want to wish everybody good luck and get that championship.
Peace.
