Luka expected to play vs. Kings after missing four games originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea
The Dallas Mavericks’ new star duo is expected to debut Saturday against the Kings at Golden 1 Center.
After missing the last four games with a heel injury, Luka Dončić is probable to play tonight.
Kyrie Irving made his debut for Dallas on Wednesday after he was acquired in a trade from the Brooklyn Nets. His second game for the Mavs came on Friday, when they beat the Kings 122-114.
Now, the All-Star pairing will see the floor together for the first time as they face the Kings in Sacramento for the second straight night. Dončić is averaging a league-leading 33.4 points per game, plus 8.9 rebounds and 8.2 assists. Irving is at 27.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game after dropping 25 points last night.
With the standings so tight in the Western Conference, Saturday is another critical game for both squads. The Kings are third in the West at 31-24, while the Mavs are fourth at 31-26. Another Dallas win on Saturday would put the teams in a tie for third.
