The 2023 NBA trade deadline is here, set for Thursday, Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. ET.
Trade season kicked off in a big way over the weekend, with All-Star guard Kyrie Irving being traded from Brooklyn to Dallas to team up with Luka Doncic.

It got even more chaotic in the early hours of deadline day when Kevin Durant was reportedly traded to the Suns to team up with Devin Booker, Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton.
There are several other high-profile players and teams in the rumor mill, with the Lakers, Suns, Nets, Raptors and more expected to be active.

Suns acquire Kevin Durant in shocking deadline trade
The Suns have reportedly acquired Kevin Durant and TJ Warren from the Nets in a monster deal for Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder, four first-round picks and a first-round pick swap.
The four first-round picks — in 2023, 2025, 2027 and 2029 — are all unprotected.

Just days after Irving was moved to the Mavericks, the Nets’ other All-Star is on the move, creating a superteam with Paul, Booker and Ayton.
Bucks acquire veteran forward Jae Crowder from Nets in three-team deal
The Bucks have landed veteran forward Jae Crowder from the Nets in exchange for five second-round picks, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The Pacers are helping facilitate the trade, acquiring veterans George Hill and Serge Ibaka, as well as scoring forward Jordan Nwora and two second-round picks.
Crowder was sent from the Suns to the Nets in the Durant blockbuster trade. The 3-and-D wing fills Milwaukee’s need for forward depth and perimeter shooting.
Clippers get point guard help from Nuggets with Bones Hyland trade
The Clippers are acquiring Nuggets guard Bones Hyland for two second-round picks (2024 & 2025), according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
LA was vocal about its desire to land a point guard at the deadline and Hyland, who is only 22, gives them a scoring playmaker to fill a void.
76ers receive Jalen McDaniels in three-team trade that send Matisse Thybulle to Portland
The 76ers are sending defensive stopper Matisse Thybulle to Portland in a three-team trade with the Hornets, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Philadelphia will receive a versatile forward in Jalen McDaniels, the Knicks’ 2024 second-round pick and Trail Blazers 2029 second-round pick. The Trail Blazers will receive two second-round picks. Charlotte will receive Svy Mykhauiluk and a 2027 second-round pick.
Celtics land Mike Muscala from Thunder
According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Thunder have agreed to trade Mike Muscala to the Celtics for Justin Jackson and two second-round picks.
Lakers trade Thomas Bryant to Nuggets
The Lakers are sending starting center Thomas Bryant to the Nuggets for Davon Reed and three second-round picks, According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Los Angeles received Denver’s 2025, 2026 and 2029 second-round picks.
Wednesday, Feb. 8
Lakers send Russell Westbrook to Jazz in blockbuster three-team trade
The Lakers have reportedly traded Russell Westbrook to the Jazz in a three-team trade with the Timberwolves.
Los Angeles will receive D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt and Malik Beasley. Utah will receive Westbrook, Juan Toscano-Anderson, Damian Jones and the Lakers’ 2027 first-round pick (top-four protected). Minnesota will receive Mike Conley Jr., Nickeil Alexander-Walker and three second-round picks.
Also in deal: Juan Toscano-Anderson and Damian Jones to Jazz, Nickeil Alexander-Walker to the Timberwolves, sources said.

According to Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes, Westbrook is expected to be bought out by Utah.
Tuesday, Feb. 7
Heat sent Dewayne Dedmon to San Antonio
The Heat traded reserve center Dedmon and a second-round pick to the Spurs. The move gives Miami flexibility to make other moves, freeing up a roster spot.

Nets send Kyrie Irving to Dallas for Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith
The first trade that kicked off trade season just might be the biggest. The Mavericks acquired superstar guard Irving and Markieff Morris from the Nets in exchange for Dinwiddie, Finney-Smith, a 2029 first-round pick and two second-round picks.
