For the second straight night to begin their road trip, the Philadelphia 76ers walked away with a one-point win. The Sixers were able to come away with a 113-112 win over the Los Angeles Lakers despite 35 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds from LeBron James for Los Angeles.
Joel Embiid was once again huge for the Sixers as he had 35 points and 11 rebounds while James Harden had 24 points, 13 assists, and seven rebounds. The Sixers were excellent in execution down the stretch as Harden and Embiid were terrific in their two-man game in the fourth quarter. The Lakers didn’t have many options in terms of trying to stop what those two can do.
Outside of what Embiid and Harden did, the Sixers received 16 points off the bench from Tyrese Maxey. Philadelphia also received big shots from Georges Niang down the stretch and Tobias Harris was helpful on both ends of the floor in his return from left knee soreness.
NBA Twitter, fans and analysts, reacted to the win for the Sixers.
