How to romance Eleanor in Warframe 1999

Love is in the air in Warframe, and it’s not because of the Techrot. The 1999 Update lets you romance members of the Hex, including Eleanor Nightingale—Arthur’s sister, the Hex psychic, and the woman who has (and will) become Nyx.

Finding the key to Eleanor’s heart may not be easy, however. Choosing the right dialogue prompts helps, but if you can’t get a straight path to a New Year’s Eve kiss with Ms. Nightingale, you can continue to improve your Chemistry with her to advance your relationship. 

Don’t expect to get to the romance scene with Eleanor quickly, though. You need to be at max rank with her to date the telepath. Here’s how you can romance Eleanor in Warframe 1999.

How to romance Eleanor in Warframe

The first step to building a relationship with Eleanor, naturally, is getting to know her. You can’t just walk into Höllvania with a horror movie under your arms and ask her to Blockbuster and chill.

First, you need to increase your Chemistry with Eleanor by giving her gifts, answering with the right prompts on chat, and doing any of her bounties in Höllvania (once per day). She usually goes for gifts that hearken back to her past in journalism, and a planter is also a good choice.

Correct dialogue answers for Eleanor in Warframe

KIM is one of the biggest parts of your future relationship with the former journalist. This allows you to gain even more Chemistry with her and fast-track your romance—if you get the correct prompts, that is.

Eleanor “likes to be challenged a little bit, here and there, and pushed on topics in different ways,” according to her profile. Try to keep her conversations going as long as you can, but respectfully. The telepath also has a “playful side,” which led us to make a dad joke and get a golden response (though the conversation ended after that). Guess you can’t win them all.

The telepath has some borderline fantastical conversations with you. She gets “murderously jealous” when you mention the Lotus (which is actually a positive for your Drifter) and enjoys talking about Duviri and the Void.

No matter what you do, don’t make her feel bad about her transformation: she’s worried enough about becoming a monster or being seen as one without adding fuel to that fire. If she does bring up her tongue, don’t say it’s gross, or you may ruin your chances (and prodding her about it is one of the ways to flirt with her). She’s also fond of children, so don’t badmouth your Operator if the opportunity arises.

If you find the right prompt on KIM Messaging, her answer will usually have a golden glow, which is a good sign for your relationship. Sometimes, this glow may not appear, depending on the topic at hand. How to ask Eleanor out in Warframe

As your relationship progresses and you learn more about her, Eleanor will start to trust the Drifter more and more, opening up with more intimate details (that may border on TMI territory, when a certain appendage is involved). You need to reach Close status with Eleanor before you can romance her.

All Hex members have six levels of intimacy, but their thresholds vary from person to person. Aoi might be more receptive than Eleanor, for instance, or maybe you find Lettie easier to talk to.

While absent from the 1999 Patch Notes at first, Digital Extremes confirmed each Chemistry rank is locked behind progression with the Hex Syndicate. This means you need to max out your Standing with the Hex to fully romance Eleanor, though you can ask her to date with you by rank four.

You can ask Eleanor out in two different ways: through KIM and in person. You can use the “ask to date” prompt in Höllvania mall for a voiced, but less sweet romance scene, or you can get the right conversation on KIM to make a move on her.

This conversation happens after you’ve reached rank five with her, according to the Kimulacrum, and begins with her asking why you’re still in Höllvania in 1999. If you’re that eager, you can ask her to date you from her vendor menu, though we prefer the KIM version.

After getting Eleanor to date you, she’ll have a few unique quotes when speaking to her in her vendor screen, including a new pet name for you and romantic quotes from old poems. And if you don’t break up with her, you can take your relationship to the next level.

How to get Eleanor to move in with you in Warframe

Like other paramours in the Hex, Eleanor moves in with you once you reach Loved rank with her. This requires you to be dating her, have max rank in the Hex Syndicate, and have a special conversation for you two on KIM. Play your cards right, and this ends with “enthusiastic kissing, with an option to proceed to rampant sexual intercourse.”

After the conversation ends, your status with her should shift to Loved, and she’ll move into the couch by the balcony in the Backroom. She’ll have a plethora of unique voice lines there, which she’ll quip as you pass by. Some of them are references to things you may have discussed on KIM, while others can be her ways of asking for attention (under threat of snogging the Helminth).

If you want to date Eleanor but can’t, keep chatting with her and doing her bounties, but don’t stop working on your Hex rank. Aim for that Pizza Party, hope you can sweep her off her feet, and cross your fingers for a New Year’s Eve kiss with Eleanor. Though you may want to brush your teeth before… and maybe after.
