With Enshrouded available on PC, many players have wondered if it will ever launch on consoles. The latest massive update from Keen Games has good news and bad news for console players.
What platforms is Enshrouded available on?
Back in May 2023, developer Keen Games confirmed via its official X (formerly Twitter) account it plans to bring Enshrouded to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S for its full release. It was assumed back then that the full release would come in early 2024 after a year of early access on Steam. However, with this fifth content update and the release of the Early Access Roadmap for 2025, we now have confirmation that the full 1.0 release of Enshrouded will arrive in Spring 2026.
As frustrating as this news could be for console players, they should be assured that Keen Games wants to release Enshrouded in its best possible form. There is nothing worse than finally playing a much-anticipated game only to find it is full of disappointing bugs and issues. As the 2025 roadmap suggests, Enshrouded is about to get a huge polish-up with extra gameplay features, content, and improvements happening throughout the year. When the game finally comes out of early release in Spring 2026, console players will have a fully functional survival RPG to delve into.
Other than “Spring 2026,” there is no precise date for when Keen Games will bring Enshrouded out of early access. Fans have been begging for a console release since 2023, so it is unlikely the date will be pushed back any further. Keep up to date with any latest developments via the Enshrouded roadmap and Enshrouded’s official website for news from Keen Games about when the game will arrive on console.
