I’m not afraid to admit I stumbled on today’s Wordle. It was tough, even by The New York Times’ standard. Before I give away the answer, I have a few hints and clues that might lead you in the right direction.
Today’s Wordle hints and clues (October 19)
- Hint 1: A thread or filament from which a vegetable tissue, mineral substance, or textile is formed.
- Hint 2: A noun.
- Hint 3: The word begins with the letter “F.”
- Hint 4: The basket comes lined with natural coco _____.
Today’s Wordle answer (No. 1,218, October 19)
Are you still struggling with today’s Wordle? I don’t blame you. The answer is FIBER. Fiber is a dietary material containing substances such as cellulose, lignin, and pectin, that are resistant to the action of digestive enzymes. “Ordinary synthetics don’t breathe as well as natural fibers.”
Today’s Wordle difficulty rating (October 19)
The New York Times said today’s Wordle took players an average of 4.4 out of six guesses to get the correct answer, which doesn’t surprise me. While it’s not a difficult word on the scale of things, I struggled to get the answer. I’d give it a three out of five on the difficulty rating.
