On Sunday, the Minnesota Vikings lost to the New York Giants in the NFC Wild Card round of the playoffs by a score of 31-24. With that loss comes the end of the Vikings’ season and many questions about some of the players and staff on the team. One of those players is wide receiver Adam Thielen.
Thielen’s wife Caitlin Thielen posted a photo of herself and her husband on Instagram shortly after the Vikings’ loss on Sunday, with the following caption:
“And just like that the season and our time here in MN might be at an end. Super proud of your attitude this season and always fighting”
Theilen’s wife is likely not insinuating that she or her husband want out of Minnesota; she’s just stating the harsh reality of the NFL. Every offseason brings uncertainty about which players will return or not. Thielen’s name has surfaced as a possible cap casualty due to his $19.9 million cap hit next season.
The Vikings will take their time to evaluate the whole roster and determine the best path forward, but it very well could be the end of many fan favorites this offseason.
