When the Jaguars and Chargers went into the locker room at halftime of their AFC wild-card matchup Saturday night, it appeared Jacksonville was headed to a swift first-round exit.
The Jaguars had trailed 27-0 until a touchdown with 24 seconds remaining in the half left trimmed the deficit to 20 points. But after four first-half interceptions from Trevor Lawrence, and with a defense that had few answers against Justin Herbert and the Chargers’ offense, it appeared the highly anticipated clash would be lopsided.

But Lawrence wasn’t done. The Jaguars scored touchdowns on each of their first two drives of the second half and limited the Chargers to a made field goal and a missed field goal kick to bring the game to 30-20. The Jaguars scored a touchdown and converted on a 2-point try to make it a two-point game with 5:25 left, and after the Chargers went three-and-out, Jacksonville marched down the field and booted a game-winning 36-yard field goal to win 31-30.
The Jaguars kept their surprising season alive and will now head to the divisional round of the playoffs.

The largest comeback in the history of the NFC playoffs came on Jan. 5, 2003, when the 49ers came back from a 24-point deficit to beat the Giants 39-38.
