The first two teams left out of the College Football Playoff field look to finish their 2023 season strong as No. 5 Florida State and No. 6 Georgia square off in the 2023 Orange Bowl. While the CFP snub was disappointing to the reigning two-time national champion Bulldogs, the sting was arguably felt deeper by the Seminoles after finishing undefeated with an ACC championship. As FSU looks to bounce back from that setback, however, it will be without more than a dozen of its starters between injuries and opt outs. Both programs will be previewing some potential 2024 contributors, though, with plenty of younger players taking on bigger roles in the bowl game as they look to get back into the CFP mix next year.
