College football recruiting took center stage as Wednesday marked the sport’s traditional National Signing Day. A vast majority of the nation’s top players already made their college decisions in December, but a number of prospects — including some notable names — put pen to paper with just over a month until spring practice begins.
Bill Belichick bolstered his first ever college recruiting class by flipping a pair of defensive prospects to North Carolina on Wednesday. Michigan beefed up its offensive line with elite tackle prospect Ty Haywood and Maryland scored a big win when EDGE Zahir Mathis chose the Terps over Florida State.
