2025 Players Championship Thursday first round tee times, how to watch

It’s time for the marquee event on the PGA Tours schedule.

The 2025 Players Championship kicks off Thursday at TPC Sawgrass’ Stadium Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The field of 144 players includes 48 of the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking, with the top three – Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele – grouped together the first two rounds. Scheffler is the two-time defending champion at the Players and is looking to join Jack Nicklaus as the only players with three Players titles.

The purse at the Players is $25 million, with $4.5 million going to the winner along with 750 FedEx Cup points.
