LIV Golf’s Anthony Kim reveals he has blood clot in leg, says he ‘will be fine’

Last week, Anthony Kim shared on social media that he had reached two years of sobriety, a message that was celebrated. This week, the news he shared was more somber.

Kim, who currently competes as a wildcard player for LIV Golf, shared Tuesday he has a blood clot in his leg. Posting on his Instagram story, Kim said he felt bad for a couple weeks before LIV Golf’s season opener in Riyadh but couldn’t figure out why. On Monday, it was discovered he had a blood clot in his leg.

Kim didn’t specify which leg the clot was in, but in a second Instagram story, he said “I will be fine.”

Kim finished T-49 and T-51 in LIV Golf’s first two events of 2025. The former top-10 player in the world returned to golf in 2024 after a 12-year hiatus and personal struggle. He joined LIV Golf as a wildcard. His best result in 12 starts is solo 36th at LIV Golf Greenbrier.

As far as Kim’s status for upcoming LIV Golf events, it’s unclear whether he’ll play in Hong Kong and Singapore. More importantly, here’s to hoping Kim gets better quickly.
