There’s more golf entertainment viewing coming to a small screen near you.
“Stick” is a comedy series coming to AppleTV+ in June. The show, which stars Owen Wilson, who’s also the executive producer, was announced in March 2024. Apple released more details on Thursday about the show.
Owen Wilson and Peter Dager star in “Stick,” a new golf comedy series premiering June 4, 2025 on Apple TV+.
It won’t be an all-episode release like Full Swing is on the Netflix, but the first three will come out on June 4, with the next seven coming online each Wednesday after that.
The premise of the show, according to AppleTV+:
Pryce Cahill is an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago. After the collapse of his marriage and getting fired from his job at an Indiana sporting goods store, Pryce hedges his bets, and future, entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom named Santi (Peter Dager). “Stick” is a heartfelt, feel-good comedy about a found family and their relationships set within the world of golf as it has never been shown before.
Similar to Full Swing and the upcoming movie Happy Gilmore 2, there will be plenty of cameos by PGA Tour golfers, with Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley, Max Homa and Wyndham Clark in the lineup. There will also be appearances by Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman of CBS, Good Good’s Matt Scharff, Brad Dalke and Garrett Clark as well as Skratch’s Dan Rapaport.
