The RSM Classic has been a Fall staple of the PGA Tour since 2010 when World Golf Hall of Fame member and two-time Players Championship winner Davis Love III agreed to host the tournament at the resort course where he spent some of his formative years under the tutelage of his father, famed golf teacher Davis Love Jr.
The tournament combines world-class golf with the geniality of Georgia’s Golden Isles. It’s also been an event that has introduced new stars of the game and cemented solid seasons and served as a jumping-off point for the following Tour season, which will begin in only six weeks in Hawaii.
Here’s what fans need to know about the Tour’s Fall Classic.
Where is the RSM Classic played?
The tournament is at the Sea Island Golf Club on St. Simons Island, Ga. The club is part of a resort built in 1928. Walter Travis designed the first nine holes but passed away before it was completed. The Seaside Course was finished by Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison, and re-designed by Tom Fazio. Davis Love III re-designed the Plantation Course.
Where can I get tickets?
Tickets can be purchased by visiting RSM classic.com. The Patron Pass for the week is $60 per day and $240 for the week. Tickets include free parking at the St. Simons Airport and shuttle service to the course. There are also private hospitality packages available.

How can I watch the tournament on TV?
Golf Channel is airing all four rounds from 2-5 p.m. Nov. 21-24.
Who’s playing?
Players had until 5 p.m. on Nov. 15 to commit to the tournament. In the past, major champions such as Love, Stewart Cink, Zach Johnson and Brian Harman have played almost every year, along with past FedEx Cup champions Billy Horschel, Brandt Snedeker and Bill Haas.
What’s the RSM Classic purse?
The winner will earn $1,368,000 from a total purse of $7.6 million. The winner also earns 500 FedEx Cup points, a two-year PGA Tour exemption, berths in The Players Championship and the PGA Championship and an invitation to the Masters.
What happened last year?
PGA Tour rookie Ludvig Aberg lit up the Seaside Course with a 61-61 weekend to beat 2016 RSM champion Mackenzie Hughes by four shots. Aberg set the tournament scoring record at 29-under 253 and tied the PGA Tour 72-hole score with Justin Thomas.
Two other past winners contended. Tyler Duncan (2019) tied for third and Adam Svensson (2022) tied for fifth.
Dollars, cents and charity
The RSM Classic has donated more than $42 million in its history to charity through the Davis Love Foundation, to groups such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia and Special Olympics.
The economic impact of the tournament to the Golden Isles and Brunswick has been estimated between $15-$25 million per year.
