South Korea’s Amy Yang finished on an event-record 27 under par to win the LPGA’s season-ending Tour Championship.
World number 36 Yang claimed the $2m (£1.6m) prize with her first victory in four years and fifth of her career.
The 34-year-old birdied the last at the Tiburon course in Naples, Florida, to beat Japan’s Nasa Hataoka and America’s Alison Lee by three shots.
World number one Lilia Vu finished fourth on 21 under to win the LPGA’s player of the season.
Vu, 26, capped a breakthrough year after claiming her first two majors – winning the Chevron Championship and British Open.
But she was unable to bridge the gap to Yang, who started the day joint leader alongside Hataoka, following rounds of 68, 63 and 64.
Yang hit the front after holing her approach shot on the par-four 13th for an eagle, and finished with birdies at the final two holes to close with a six-under 66.
Lee also finished strongly with four birdies on the back nine, to end with a 66 and a tie for second place.
Hataoka had looked set to challenge after a birdie on the 14th took her level with Yang on 25 under, but she faded with two missed putts over the closing holes, dropping a shot on the par-three 16th and missing a birdie chance on the penultimate hole as Yang rolled in for hers.
England’s Charley Hull and Georgia Hall finished tied for 16th on 13 under, while Scotland’s Gemma Dryburgh birdied the last to end on 10 under and tied for 30th place.
