World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has committed to play in next week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the PGA Tour’s second signature event of the season. This will be Scheffler’s first start of 2025 after suffering a hand injury while preparing Christmas dinner that required surgery.
The 28-year-old Texan ended last season with a win at the Tour Championship and capturing the FedEx Cup. In early December, Scheffler won Tiger Woods’ Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas and partnered with Rory McIlroy to defeat LIV Golf’s Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau in The Showdown.
Scheffler’s debut appearance at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am was last season, a tournament that was shortened to 54 holes due to inclement weather. He ended the week in a tie for sixth.
