The Boston Bruins have recalled forward Vinni Lettieri from the Providence Bruins, it was announced Monday.
Lettieri, who was acquired by the Bruins in June from the Minnesota Wild, has spent the whole season with Providence thus far. Through 35 games, he has scored 14 goals and added 21 assists for 35 points.
A product of Excelsior, Minn., Lettieri turned pro at the end of the 2016-17 season after spending four seasons with the University of Minnesota (NCAA). Since then, he has appeared in 129 career NHL regular season games with the Bruins, New York Rangers, Anaheim Ducks, and the Wild, putting up 27 points.
As Lettieri joins the Bruins, he will have the opportunity to get into his first NHL game of the year. Having spent the majority of the 2023-24 season with the Wild, Lettieri proved he could be a productive member of the team when called upon and should serve in a similar role with Boston.
