When we proposed the deal as Seattle the trade was accepted and the Rangers thought they were fleecing the Kraken in the deal.
After the trade was completed the automatic coach editing lines feature recommends Kakko plays on the Kraken third line with Eeli Tolvanen and Yanni Gourde.
When we offered the trade as New York the deal was not accepted. Seattle said we were not far off in the value and clearly did not want to include two draft picks.
NHL 25 seems to value the deal relatively evenly but ultimately values Borgen slightly more. The two draft picks along with Borgen lead the game to think the Rangers came out ahead in this deal.
